I ofter hear of complaints such as "contrasting schedules", "work commitments" or "different fitness goals", making exercising together impossible. If you're into fitness and healthy eating, it can be difficult to come to terms with the fact that your partner isn't. What's just as difficult: Trying to change someone who isn't ready for it. Instead of the usual candlelit dinner, why not sign up for a dance class together? What about cooking lessons or an outdoor adventure, such as hiking, biking or white-water rafting? These activities will benefit your body and help you bond: plus, they sure beat the same old movie night loaded with extra calories from popcorn and soft drinks.


Feed off each other's energy and motivation, and keep one another accountable for every step the both of you take. Even better, do something different, like experiment with fun activities that the both of you would enjoy. The benefits: You'll both not only look and feel healthier; you'll also gain more confidence personally, socially and professionally.

This will tone the waist and hips better than pretty much any other exercise. If you're a woman who is looking for a nice feminine waistline, you gotta do some hula hooping. It's quick and easy... and yields incredible toning results.


I have 2 suggestions... get a bigger than normal hula hoop and make sure it's weighted. This makes it easier to use. Then go about hula hooping for 10 minutes everyday. Perhaps you can do something like a minute on the mini-trampoline and follow it up with 1 minute of hula hooping during commercials.

Going through a routine of 20-30 jumping jacks every other day (on the days you aren't running or swimming or jogging) can help you lose weight quickly since it attacks different muscles than the other exercises do.


The final basic exercise that you should work into your quick weight loss workouts are some form of muscle-building exercises, such as weight-lifting, squats or pull-ups. These exercises should be performed on your fast weight loss days when you aren't running, swimming, jogging or doing jumping jacks. A great routine to establish is one where you run one day, do jumping jacks the next, swim the next, do pull-ups the next, etc. This keeps your body moving and prevents the weight loss from slowing down and plateauing, a symptom of quick weight loss exercises that many people experience.

How Can I Finally Reach My Weight Loss Goal?

If you've tried losing weight in the past only to put the weight back on, you are not alone. Every year thousands of men and women set weight loss goals only to give up before they give their bodies a real chance to lose weight. What is the problem?


It is easy to think that you may not have enough willpower or motivation to lose weight, but that's not really it is it? Finding a diet and exercise plan that works for you is the key to lasting weight loss. Like you, I've tried counting calories, fat grams and points for a good majority of my life. Eventually I grew tired of counting everything I consumed.


I knew losing weight wasn't going to be easy, but I couldn't help but wonder if there was an easier way to lose weight without wanting to give up so easily. The solution finally came when I was least expecting it. The solution was simple: stop counting calories.


How could I do that and still lose weight? The trick is this: when I eat the right foods for weight loss I don't need to count calories. Knowing which foods would aide weight loss was my key to finally reaching my weight goal. For most of my life I starved myself and ate too little, this only slowed down my metabolism making weight loss even harder.


When I started The Day Off Diet a year ago I learned that I could eat more of the right foods and still manage to lose weight. I was able to eat in restaurants again and everyone around me didn't even know I was dieting. The key was to eat the right foods until I was satisfied. The day off diet provided me with a list of green light, yellow light and red light foods that were satisfying and delicious. I only ate red light foods on my once a week "day off".


This was exactly what I needed to lose weight: an easy plan that I could finally live with.
